Sarai is pronounced as

Sarah- ea

Sarai is pronounced as: Phonetic Spelling:[ Sarah- ea ]

Type of Name:

first name

Language:

Hebrew

Gender:

Female

Meaning:

Princess

Additional Information:

This is my name and im not even 100% sure this is the correct way to Pronouce it. Both my parents are Mexicans and got the name from the Christian Holy Bible in the book of Genesis: Sarai was Abrahms wife. Just as God changed his name from Abrahm to Abraham he changed Sarai to Sarah. My parents didnt know English so this is the reason i pronouce it Sara-ea, since in Spanish the "i" makes an "ea" sound; therefore it makes sense to say it this way. However, i have heard that Sarai in English should be pronounced Su-reigh... i guess its just preference so don't be afraid to ask.
